I feel like when I first started drawing 6 years ago, what really pushed me to get better was the enjoyment of completing an art piece as well as the dopamine rush I get from compliments(double-edged sword). It felt rewarding because it wasn’t something I was used to. 6 years later, the rush is still there but fades a lot faster than it did before because that chase for the dopamine was replaced with a different personal goal for my artwork. I aim to capture the same unsettling, yet, beautiful feeling I get when looking at Baroque Art, Yoshitaka Amano, and works like Junji Ito. I think that feeling is a great representation of how I see the world at the moment.
